Columbus Museum & Genealogy Library
The Columbus Museum and Genealogy Library offer a colorful look at the history of Columbus. The many exhibits on display showcase the unique character of the city. Visitors can find artifacts dating back to the 1800s including vintage clothing, tractors and farm equipment, and sporting goods.
The Genealogy Library contains records dating back to the formation of the City of Columbus in 1868. Among the many thousands of records available, visitors can find veteran’s listings, school yearbooks, land, marriage, and naturalization records, and much more. Volunteers are available to do family research upon donation and request to the Cherokee County Kansas Genealogical-Historical Society, Inc.
