New Residents

To obtain water service a $50 non-refundable collection fee is required.  You will receive a bill the first week of each month with a due date of the 15th. Bills are due and payable after the 15th, however, a 10% penalty is added.  A drop-box is available and located on the West side of City Hall in the Drive-Thru for before or after-hours payments.  AutoPay is also available for monthly bills, to sign up you may print and return the form or pick one up at City Hall.  We also accept payments online (link to pay bill) or by telephone.  For full detail please visit our City Utilities page.

Trash service is included on your water bill.  Trash is collected once a week, your pick-up day is in accordance with your Ward. For more information regarding trash services please visit our City Utilities page.

Dogs are required to be registered by April 1st each calendar year. To register your pet you must provide a completed registration form, a copy of their current rabies vaccination, and a $5.00 registration fee.  The tags are available at the Columbus Police Department located at 300 E. Maple.  The City of Columbus has a ban on pit bull dogs.
